I was responsible for the production of four neighborhood editions of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, including page design, headlines, cutlines, photo selection and working with reporters on improving their copy.

I worked on the news desk of the largest newspaper in Nevada. I also did some section layout and served as wire editor twice a week and wire photo editor once a week.

Temporary copy editing position working on the universal wire desk of the Northern California group, which is now known as the Bay Area News Group.

I worked with the city desk on designing the local section and editing staff copy of the afternoon daily in Palo Alto, Calif. The paper ceased publication in 1993.

Internship at a business news service in Princeton, N.J. The position involved editing and rewriting copy for use on a subscriber-accessed database.

 I served an internship covering some local government and writing features for the Times’ twice-weekly zoned South Bay section.

 I was a general assignment reporter, covering some city government and local sports as well as writing local features for the Southwest Los Angeles area weekly.

 A copy editing internship at the 40,000 circulation weekly covering the Silicon Valley and the high-tech industry.
